Mindfulness is a technique that helps you stay in the present moment, rather than becoming overwhelmed by worrying, anxious, or negative thoughts. There is growing evidence that practising mindfulness regularly can help you manage pain levels, reduce stress, and support your overall mental well-being.

A note of caution:
Generally, mindfulness and similar meditation techniques are very safe, with adverse effects being rare. However, if you have any type of mental illness or are currently in crisis, we recommend discussing it with your doctor and/or mental health team before starting any form of ‘present-focus’ therapy.

This 8-week interactive course is designed to help manage anxiety, fatigue, and/or pain. It offers in-depth, personalised teaching of mindfulness practices and techniques, including structured lessons, discussions, exercises, and peer/self-support.
The course is facilitated by a member of the Rareminds Counselling and Psychotherapy Team, who has personal experience of the benefits of mindfulness.
It will be held online and is accessible from anywhere in the UK (provided you have internet access). Each session lasts for two hours and is held weekly, usually in the early evening.
