On Saturday 7th July, 11 members of the Codeweavers team embarked up Ben Nevis to start the Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for NET Patient Foundation.
“We started the challenge early in the morning and even with the extreme heat, we all managed to get up and down Ben Nevis in around 6 hours or less. We then drove to Scafell Pike, arriving around 6pm on Saturday evening. This ended up being the most grueling and challenging part of the journey. Even though a few of us were unable to continue onto the final stretch up Snowdon, the remaining members of the team managed to complete the entire Three Peaks Challenge within the 24 hour limit.
We set out to do this challenge, in order to raise funds and, more importantly awareness, for NET Patient Foundation.
We chose NET Patient Foundation due to the great work they do helping those diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer. Jude Smalley, one of our Product Owners, brought NET Patient Foundation to our attention. In 2015 Jude’s mother Kath was diagnosed with a Gastrointestinal Neuroendocrine Tumour. During this Kath created a blog which is a real eye-opener to the effects this can have on someone’s life.”
A huge thank you to the Codeweavers team for their support and raising an amazing £2,445 for NET Patient Foundation.
