Supporting the

Neuroendocrine Cancer Community

#Twopointsixchallenge

Apr 30, 2020

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in fundraising income. In response, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country came together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds to help to save the UK’s charities. They created the ‘2.6 Challenge’ which took place on the 26th April, what should should have been the 40th anniversary of the London Marathon.

The team here at NCUK were overwhelmed by the amount of people who got involved. The Neuroendocrine Cancer community spirit was well and truly lifted as messages and photos came flooding in of you; running, walking, cycling, sewing, virtual obstacle coursing, wheelbarrowing, going cold turkey on coffee! To reading poetry and baking.

We are thrilled to report that due to your willingness to get involved and the kindness of your friends and family donating, we raised over £10,000 for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK!! We cannot express our heartfelt thanks enough, not only for raising such a huge amount, which is really going to support our services during this extremely difficult time but for raising awareness of Neuroendocrine Cancer outside of our fabulous community.

There are still some fundraisers continuing the challenge and raising money for NCUK, so a massive YOU CAN DO THIS to you. If anyone would still like to donate then please hit the donate button below.

Once again THANK YOU from team NCUK and the whole of the Neuroendocrine Cancer Community.
