Mental health support must be an integral part of rare disease care.
Today, Rare Disease Day 2023, Rareminds have launched their Rare Minds Matter campaign and are asking members of the rare disease community to fill out their mental health survey. They want to hear from anyone impacted by rare disease including those with the condition, carers, family members and patient/support group leaders. It will help them to find out more about your needs and priorities, helping them shape and design the support they provide to the rare community, and give them evidence to advocate on your behalf for better mental health provision. We want to collect robust evidence that will help us to secure the funding needed to help us to support you.
Rareminds know the impact having a rare condition can have on emotional wellbeing and over the next few years they want to see access to mental health support become standard in rare disease care.
