Neuroendocrine Cancer UK Presents: A Night of Enchantment with pOpera by Candlelight, Featuring Zirenz in Concert!

Neuroendocrine Cancer UK is thrilled to shine a spotlight on an extraordinary event that’s raising vital funds and creating waves of awareness about neuroendocrine cancer. Join us as we applaud the incredible work of Zirenz, the John Lennon songwriting award-winners, and their dedicated team.

pOpera by Candlelight, Zirenz in Concert
In a magical fusion of musical genres, Zirenz, composed of Bex Hazard and Cat Llewelyn, has reimagined well-known opera arias. From Puccini’s “Un Bel Di” to Delibes’ “The Flower Duet” (famously known as the British Airways theme), these classic pieces have been set to dance and electro-pop beats, creating an unforgettable musical experience.
What makes this event even more remarkable is the collaboration with an ensemble of exceptional talents:
  • Cantamus Choir: This award-winning choir has earned 29 first prizes in international choral festivals, including the prestigious BBC Choir of the Year Competition. They will provide enchanting backing vocals for Zirenz and perform a collection of beloved choral arrangements.
  • Rock Choir: Under the baton of Dan Rogers, the voices of Rock Choir West Glamorgan, Carmarthenshire, and Pembrokeshire will have everyone singing their hearts out and dancing in the aisles.
  • Lisa Mears: The talented Welsh composer will showcase her original compositions, adding a unique and beautiful touch to the evening.
  • The Meadows: An award-winning Celtic-Crossover folk band, The Meadows, will showcase tracks from their latest album, bringing a vibrant and multi-instrumental sound to the stage.
  • Michael Kennedy: Hosting this spectacular Charity Gala is the talented Michael Kennedy, a Radio show DJ known for his Welsh Connections Radio show.
But it’s not just about the music. It’s about raising awareness.
All performers participating in this event have generously donated their services, and all ticket sales and proceeds will go to the Neuroendocrine Cancer UK Charity.

Zirenz in the Spotlight

Zirenz has been making waves in the media, sharing their passion for this event and their dedication to the Neuroendocrine Cancer UK cause.
