Always a pleasure to attend the Cancer 52 CEO meetings, where there is an opportunity to discuss common issues and ways in which we can support each others organisations, despite the difference of focus in terms of disease area.
This week’s meeting was mainly focused on how we can ensure that all of the member organisations can support any patient from Ukraine who may be seeking refugee status here in the UK.
One of the other important topics discussed was the 10 year cancer plan. There is a deadline which is looming on a call for evidence seeking the views of individuals, professionals and organisations to understand whether and how we can do more to make progress against this ambition, and to build on the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cancer 52 and its membership, of course including us here at NCUK, will be submitting evidence to the Dept of health and Social Care by April 1st. If you would like to comment too there is a survey that you can complete.
