INCA Presidency Update

Jan 27, 2022

INCA PRESIDENCY UPDATE, Catherine Bouvier.
February will be my final month as the INCA President, so I would especially like to thank the INCA Board for their time, effort, enthusiasm and leadership, the whole membership for all they do in supporting their communities, and the INCA Committee Chairs for driving some fantastic and challenging projects (and planning for 2022, which looks to drive some of the most demanding projects in research, education, awareness and advocacy).
My thanks also goes out to our medical partners for their involvement, positivity and advice, and to our sponsors who have provided the essential support for our activities to succeed. We have made inroads with our key pillars and added a new and important advocacy pillar.
Our work will continue, and we will keep pushing forward our key projects in collaboration with our medical partners, key international organisations, European colleagues, and most importantly with the wider healthcare and public space. This is a vital move for the organisation to ensure that we have the attention of those diagnosing patients and to all of those receiving and giving care.
It has been an honour to serve as the INCA President over that last 2 years – the COVID term for sure! However, despite the remoteness, my term gave me a chance to get to know some of the amazing advocates across the globe, and for that I am very grateful.
NCUK will remain a member of INCA, and I will continue to support the INCA committees by chairing the Advocacy committee, and hopefully remain on the INCA Board for the next year.
