Supporting the

Neuroendocrine Cancer Community

NET Patient Foundation announces collaboration with Maggie’s Centres

May 29, 2019

We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Maggie’s Centres.

This collaborative partnership will enable us to further develop our NET Natter Support Groups. Currently 7 of our support groups meet at Maggie’s Centres, moving forwards we are working to ensure each centre has a NET Natter Support Group and holds copies of all of our information resources.

We are also working with Maggie’s Head of Centre Operations in regards to a staff information and education programme about Neuroendocrine Cancer.

Maggie’s Centres provide free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends: somewhere to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; places where qualified experts provide emotional support; places to meet other people; places where you can simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.

Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie’s Centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need:

The centres are warm, friendly, inspiring places, which are full of light and they undoubtedly contribute to the continued wellbeing of an individual as they progress through life with cancer.
