🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ Rhi and Kel take on the Wigan Half Marathon, raising £541.25 for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK!

💬 “For those who don’t know much about us… we’ve been friends for over 13 years and met through our local swimming club. We hung up our goggles many a year ago now and decided to take up running. The furthest we’ve ever run together is 10km, but we want to tick off a half marathon (21km) in 2023. We have a family member that has been affected. Therefore we have chosen this charity.
We’re pleased to report that Rhi & Kel completed the marathon hand-in-hand ❤️

🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️ TEAM: Neil, Richard and Charlotte, a.k.a, The N.E.T. Nerds are a Father, daughter and son trio. The trio have designed a personal fundraising challenge, ‘The Lovely Linda 2023 Runathon’. The challenge will see them take on multiple races throughout the year, including:
🏅 The Lap, Lake Windermere – A 50 mile ultra marathon
🏅 Wright Hassall Regency Leamington 10k
🏅 Oxford Half Marathon

Here is Richard, who ran the first of the six events last Sunday, The Leamington Regency 10k – NCUK’s home territory!!

💙 Carol, Carolyn, Dave and friends at the Hutton Moor Leisure Centre for raising £808.00! A fitness day held in memory of Ann Beakes, “Our well-loved Instructor”.

💃 Molly & friends at York St John University Cabaret evening. A total of £538.40 was raised on the evening. Here’s why Molly chose to fundraise for us:
💬 “My mum was diagnosed in 2021, so I decided to fundraise for the charity close to our hearts and to give back to her. It’s a time for all family and friends to get together to celebrate what a wonderfully strong woman she is”.

📖 10-year-old Ava hand-sewed bookmarks for Molly’s cabaret fundraiser and raised £10 for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK! “Ava was thrilled to sell out her creations and raise money for such an important cause”. Superstar!! 🌟

🏅 Eve ran in the Brighton Half Marathon 2023 2023 and raised £880.00!

💬 I decided to run a half marathon in February in honour of my beautiful friend Darrel, who made his mark in heaven on 8th April 2021.
💬 Darrel lost his battle with Neuroendocrine cancer, even though he put up one hell of a fight. I will forever admire Darrel’s positive attitude and determination, despite what he and his family were going through. He made friends along the way and turned his illness into awareness.
