INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY ✊ WOMEN IN NETSInternational Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
We were excited to see that this year’s annual ENETS conference held its first ‘WOMEN IN NETS’ meeting.
Marianne Pavel, a Senior Physician and Chair of Endocrinology at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen, Germany. Also Head of the NET Center, chaired the meeting.
“I am really excited to see so much interest from women around the globe in this initiative. This does not only include women who are in their early career stages, but also those who are more advanced or even with leadership position. This reflects the need for support, and a high level of empathy as well as a strong interest to collaborate together”.
